Amaris Ketcham is lover of the outdoors and usually involved in some combination of open space, white space, CMYK and RGB, flash nonfiction, long trails, f-stops, line breaks, and several Adobe programs running simultaneously. Her book of poems, A Poetic Inventory of the Sandia Mountains, is available from Finishing Line Press (fall 2019). Amaris is also working on the third edition of “Best Tent Camping: New Mexico,” for Menasha Ridge Press. She has acted in a radio drama about the Badlands National Park and taken students on multi-week camping trips along the Lewis and Clark Trail. She has experience painting murals throughout Albuquerque. In the images below, Amaris worked on the hummingbird mural under lead artist Nani Chacon; she parlayed that knowledge into two office murals and a mural for Duke City Fencing, for which she trained a student.
