Using a colorful palette, whimsical imagery and spontaneous realism, I invite the viewer to engage their childlike spirit, opening themselves up to hope, to dreams, to faith, to question and to wander off to a life fully lived.
Being a lover of New Mexico and lifelong resident, I would enjoy the opportunity to feature my work in our largest city, reaching a wide range of people with my message. I believe this would open the door for future artistic opportunities as well. Big blank walls with an audience bring me excitement and the people who will enjoy this daily are the inspiration behind my designs. Once selected, the people actually become the focus as they are the ones who will be seeing this day after day, so my design needs to be interesting and have layers of meaning with hidden features for one to discover over time.
My desire to see each person restored finds its way into almost all my thoughts and on into my bright creations. I believe we are all broken in some way and long to be healed. If you think you’re not, wait a while. Bold Color. It is on everything I paint and anything I wear. Flowers, sunshine and the relentless love of God can be found in all my work. It’s real and it’s inspiration.
In the past 10 years, I have become mother of four beautiful, full-of-life boys, I study the journey of our souls in my children…I’m watching, learning, listening. I am a beloved wife, sharing this life with another and the sweat and sweetness of this dance is woven into my designs.
My favorite part of a mural is the creative design process. I love to start with a theme and see what images come to mind and what colors feel right. I love working with others as they give over their dear walls as a blank canvas. I trust the right message to be on the right space at the right time. When people see my work, they see their reflection of happy and Holy.
