“Blue Dream – The Colors Of My Soul” mural series – Artist Dream One

Greetings everyone!

My name is Jovanii Dream Nez and I am a multi-medium artist. Art is part of what keeps me alive today and art is a part of my soul. These submissions are work I have done in New Mexico most recent. Trouble is, I have always painted to free my spirit and bring to life what I feel on the inside. I never focused on painting for profit. Which leads me to seek out abandoned buildings or structures to release my emotions; to heal my soul with every bit of art that I create. I rarely ever plan what I am gonna create, I usually just let the moment take over.

Something has changed this mode. A great tragedy in my life when my first son was born and fought to live every day after. My angel and teacher lost his fight just before Christmas of 2015. When I no longer wished to walk this earth, somehow my Bahbahs let me know to keep on living and to continue to paint and sing all the colors of my soul until I can be with him once again. So I no longer wish to paint in the shadows and isolated locations. I will paint for the rest of my days to honor the memory of my son who taught me how to love and to understand what true love is.

I can paint in any type of style literally and there is no limits to what I can do. However, the art of aerosol has chosen me since age 7. I have mastered every type of art medium from paint brushes, pastels, watercolors, etching, sculpting, you name it! I have always liked a challenge and the use of aerosol is one that very few artists on this planet have mastered.

I have set out to paint anywhere in the world where someone would give me a wall to paint. The bigger to wall the better! Seeking to paint murals as large as wall space will allow. I have set the record for the largest mural ever done in Gallup, but this is only a tiny mural for my abilities. I am not seeking payment for this. I will provide everything if anyone is willing to allow me to heal my soul through their wall space. I just want to paint so I can be complete.
