Leopoldo Romero

This mural located at a pocket park in the Sawmill neighborhood, portrays a scene of the old American Lumber Company sawmill. This sawmill was located on the property immediately north and east of the park site in the early 1900's. The wood processing buildings are pictured in the background with puffs of smoke rising from the stack. In front of this are workers positioned around the log pond. The background depicts a New Mexican mountain range representing where the logs were obtained.
