Ben Harrison & TJ Meade are local Albuquerque artists. Inspired by expressionism and surrealism, Harrison focuses on life drawings often done on old comics. Meade graduated from Menaul High School in 1990 and then entered Curry College in Boston where he majored in fine arts with an emphasis in painting and printmaking. He returned to ABQ in 1995 after graduating from Curry. He now works nearly full-time painting in his signature style employing squares and geometric shapes to create his cubistic images. He likes to use different mediums for his background materials. He has done works on canvas, wood, and 3-dimensional substrates like mannequins.
