We are three or four amigos that had been apprentices to Master fresco artist Frederico Vigil. Our aim is to continue to uphold the significance of Fresco Art in the Contemporary Landscape in New Mexico.
The inspiration to our images would be drawn from our personal experiences in Albuquerque, as well as from conversation with the community. Especially to the older people in the community, to tell the history of the neighborhood, since those neighborhoods have been there for a long time and deserve to have their stories preserved. For that purpose Fresco is the best technique to preserve history through art.
As well as talking to the elders of the community, we would like to connect with the youth of the neighborhood, and it’s future. We would like to make a lasting connection with the youth of the neighborhood, to show them how bright and creative Albuquerque is, and can be, with their help and inspiration. Introducing fine art techniques such as fresco to the youth of the community could inspire an entire new wave of young artists. They deserve nothing but the best and Fresco art would bring a level of excellence, color and history into the public eye of our communities.
