My name is John Wilson. I’m a painter and photographer and I’m fascinated by the art of mural painting. I love how murals can tell a story in imagery and become a literal part of the surrounding community. As someone who discovered his creative self later in life I’ve embraced the physical aspect of painting on a large scale and my work focuses is about using vigorous brushwork and color harmonies to give the viewer a sense of movement and light. I see my style working with the constantly shifting color and light of the New Mexico skies and the landscape’s larger than life presence.
